Membership
Residents of Leisure World are eligible to join the Wood Shop. This includes unit owners, authorized co-residents, and tenants of leased units. Members of the greater community are encouraged to apply.
Membership provides the privilege to use the woodworking and metalworking machines and tools in the Shop. We accept Members of all skill levels and our Monitors are present to help you safely work with all our machines and tools.
However, as a safety measure, you may be asked to demonstrate your knowledge of safe setup and operation before being allowed to use some machines.
A modest annual dues is charged when you join and thereafter each December for the following year. A number of lockers and shelves are available for annual rental to store lumber and personal tools and supplies.
